The POWER of Leverage!

The other day, Stuart Tan, a renown local Internet Marketer conducted a session on the similar topic for us at our weekly workshop. It was a great session and those present will 100% agreed with me that they learnt much from him. Thank you – Stuart.

Here, I’ll try to summarize what he taught in my own understanding and opinion…. this, too, is leveraging – mmm… interesting?! You’ll see why, if you’ll read on.

So, what is LEVERAGE?
For me, it is the “Tool to multiply your capacity and ability with minimum efforts”.

Stuart, introduce the TIMELESS approach to LEVERAGE:

Technology
Everyone is doing this but many not know that they are in fact, leveraging on technology to do things faster, better, cheaper and easier. Think about it, it is everywhere around and about us. Examples are mobile phones, computers systems, etc. What are the technologies that you can leverage on in your business?

Innovation – “Never create, always improve”
Creating something new is great! But the set back is it takes more time and resources to create. Taking an existing concept or product and set out to improve on it, is INNOVATION. That’s it! In my earlier paragraph, I mentioned that this article is also an example of Leverage – now, you see my point? Consider this, after the 2nd World War, the Japanese economic picks up and boomed in a very short span of time and became the most advance nation in the East – know why? It is INNOVATION.

Mentors – “No one is a master of all trades”
Seeking out mentors is a great way to learn and to achieve our desired goals. Mentors are those that had been there and done that before, so they had the experiences and the stories to tell you and guide you what to do and how to achieve what you seek out to achieve. This is leveraging the experiences and failures of others, so that you don’t need to make the same mistakes. This is the way, to FAST-FORWARD your success.

Emotional States
We are at most time driven by emotions. So, it is crucial that we learn to manage our emotions to propel us to success. Always leverage on positive emotions – a happy, enthusiastic, excited and energized spirit will always accomplish great things. No one can make you happy or sad. You have to make yourself happy. Consider this, you were scolded by your supervisor for making a grave mistake and all the points of failure were pointed to you one-by-one. Will you be sad? Furious? Depressed? Or you can be happy that you’ve learnt to avoid these mistakes or pit-falls in future.

Learning (Mind Set)
We should be learning all of our life. Always take time to learn something new that you can leverage on to springboard you to higher state of achievement. Alvin Troffler quoted “The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.”

Earning (or Money)
Everyone knows that money makes more money. What if you don’t have, can you leverage on others money? Think about it… if you have a good and solid business plan and you are able to get the connection to some venture capitalist or personal investor, who are will to invest in your idea/concept. You have it! You’ll be leveraging your earnings on someone else monies.

Social Network
Every one of us has our own deficiencies in varying degrees. Social networks are a great way to patch these gaps, at the same time learn and grow. This is leveraging our deficiencies or weakness with another to become stronger to face a challenge. This is relationship building and team building.

Systems & Processes
These are your methodologies, procedures, processes and approach to accomplish a task. In order to leverage on these, you’ll need to establish strong processes that are repeatable and will consistently produce expected results. Example is a Marketing System that will be able to reach out and close consistently a certain % of targeted audience.

At this point you may say to yourself – “I know these or at least most of these. In fact, I’m practicing some or most of them, myself”.

Yes! I felt the same – leveraging is no mystery, it had been something that we’ve been doing all the time in varying degree. Leveraging means you have the opportunity to “Multiply” and “Magnify” your capacity and ability without stretching yourself.

Now, you know you can actually LEVERAGE on any thing you do. Multi-level marketing (MLM) is a very good example of leveraging in action. You don’t like MLM? – Me, either but I’ve found that you can earn residual income from online affiliate programs by leveraging on their products, technology and systems.

Like any other businesses, whether online or offline – you need to put in the effort to build and acquire any new skill that is required. Online Affiliate program give you leverage as well as the opportunity to participate in an earning opportunity that could potentially give you a 5-figure income in USD, in 12 to 36 months, depending on your Emotional States.

To know more about this opportunity, I encourage you to visit http://www.getqualitytime.com/. Once, you start to explore this in depth – you should then take it all the way and leverage on the learning, self-development and leadership opportunity that comes with the commitment you put in.
